Autograph letter signed : [Twickenham], to the Earl of Orrery, 1743 Sept. 30.

Reporting his travels, initially in the third person, including a third visit to Oxford relative to the affair of the controversial Doctor of Divinity degree; indicating his return to Twitnam, where he looks forward to Orrery's return in the fall; referencing the assumption that Orrery would reside as executor at Buckingham House: " ... it is my duty to convince you I am a very troublesome fellow, by passing as many days with you in St James' park, as I wish'd to do at Marston"; gratefully acknowledging his support.
